Evaluation of final project by Brian Pennington

Topic Excellent Satisfactory Needs Work
Coding style X
Coding strategy X
Presentation: graphs X
Presentation: tables X
Achievement, creativity X
Ease of access X

Remarks:

  • Sometimes I found the tables and graphs difficult to read. There was a lot of information to break down, which isn't a bad thing, but sometimes can impede interpretations
  • I thought your project overall was incredible. I thought it was unique, in-depth, and very creative. Your shiny app made the visualizations easier to interpret, and in my opinion, this was a very well-executed projects. The shiny app was very comprehensive and well-thought out in its design and implementation.
  • I think the way in language is used can provide insight into social movements and particularly the effect that authoritarianism on weak ideology terms. I also found it interesting that economic performance increased
  • I just think that with project you can expand your analyses and try to look for other ways in which to break down and interpret the data, but I think that your analyses get your main points across.
  • *I mean, I cannot really think of anything that I personally struggled with that would help. I would be very interested in taking this idea and tracking U.S. social movements throughout the 20th century seeing as each decade introduced a seemingly new movement. Otherwise, great job *
