Total Read Count Discrepancies

I am encountering some issues while performing demultiplexing using minibar. I observed that using different combinations of the parameters e (barcode edit distance) and E (primer edit distance) results in varying total numbers of reads after applying the chopper using the same settings, ranging from 5,000 to 30,000.


Could you please help me understand why this might be happening and how I could resolve these discrepancies? Any guidance on optimizing the parameters or addressing potential issues with the demultiplexing process would be greatly appreciated.
