Hello everyone,
I got the Zwift bike and would like to use Peloton in addition to Zwift.
However, I have problems with the resistance scaling.
I have tested various workouts but the scaling of the kickr core doesn't seem to fit.
Example:
The workout starts with 30 Peloton resistance according to Peloton's specifications. The corresponding bike resistance (set automatically) is 16. This corresponds to approx. 150W at 90rpm. After the warm-up, the resistance is increased to approx. 52 according to the Peloton workout. The QZ app increases the bike resistance to 40, which corresponds to approximately 355 watts at 60 rpm. For 52 Peloton resistance, 355W seems too high to me.

Is it possible for you to check the scaling for the kickr core? Or are there parameters that need to be set that I haven't considered?
I have already tested the Conversion Gain option. If I set the value to 2, the value under Peloton Resistance changes by a factor of 2. However, the real resistance of the bike does not change.

I generally see using the gears as just fine-tuning within the workout.

Thank you in advance

Got it, it's an easy one, I will do in these days

In the meantime you can toggle this

And restart qz
Yes it's under the schwinn bikes, it's right :)

Anyway I will fix the peloton settings for your bike too

Let me know

fixed https://github.com/cagnulein/qdomyos-zwift/actions/runs/12714762968

Google is very slow in these days, reviewing the app on the store, even the beta ones. For this reason, in order to check right now if the patch that I did is right, you can use the android build in the link (check at the bottom of the page in about 1 hour). In order to test it you need first to remove the current QZ version on your phone, install the one that you downloaded.
This version is a 15 minutes trial (you can restart it as many times as you want) and I can unlock it if you want, send me an email to [email protected] mentioning this ticket and that you are on android.
Let me know if you have any questions

Hey, first of all, thank you for your work.
I downloaded the .apk from the link, installed it and did the workout again. Unfortunately there are no noticeable changes. The resistance still behaves the same. Do I need to change any other settings?
I also have schwitched off the Res.Alternativ Calc. v2 under the Schwinn Bike settings. This means that the resistance was lower in the warm-up, but significantly higher afterwards.
Do you need the debug file again?

Did you change the peloton offset and the gain? what I did in the patch is handling these settings for your trainer

I downloaded the patch, installed it and adjusted the titles. that was it.

After I realized that it was the same as before, I tried around with the Schwinn settings.

What I did in this version is handling the peloton_offset and peloton gain under the peloton settings. These ones gives you the ability to adjust the resistance. They are the one that you have to change if you want a different behavior

Ok, I understand it now.
My mistake was that I didn't restart the app after switching the Conversion Gain.
I have now adapted the “patch” file that you created in the link to 0.8 on Conversion Gain. Now the values seem to fit better and Peloton Resistance and Target Peloton Resistance match.

Thank you.

small correction:
I reinstalled the Play Store version (beta) and set the "Conversion Gain" settings to 0.8 and restarted. Unfortunately, kickr doesn't seem to respond to this. But It works in the patch version.
I'll write to you again via email soon.
