I have tried the latest dowloadable version 2.9.27, but it made things
worse. Everything connects fine, but the avatar now does not move at all,
and there is no resistance whatsoever.

Could you please send me the debug log? Maybe I just did a stupid error. Remember that I am coding without the possibility to trying what I'm writing:) but we can make it to work! We need just some try and error sessions |

Fully understood. I'm myself a firmware developer (vhdl) so I know how
difficult it is to debug code without having the ability to test it :-). Do
you want the log captured with ERG on or off in Bike settings?

debug-Sa__Jan__8_12_08_05_2022.log Hi. Another log in ERG-Mode. Workout should be between 50 and 75 Watts. But there is no resistance control depending on cadence. Hope that helps. |

Hi everyone, I've tried the latest beta version of qz (running on ios and android phones) with Renpho bike and peloton app running on iPad Pro. The qz connects to the bike without problem and when I run a peloton class I got the pop-up that asks to follow the resistance and clicked on Yes. I clicked on start at time 00:00, but during the class, the resistance does not follow the coach's resistance. I should also mention that I can control the resistance from the qz tile. Not sure if this has to do with my setting. I have the virtual device enabled. The new peloton formula for Renpho also enabled. Any idea? many thanks. |

Hi cagnulein. My name is Martin. Like Piotr I have a Renpho bike. Today I downloaded the app on my Android LG phone and was able to pair the bike and my Wahoo tickr heart rate monitor. I then paired my LG in Zwift and tried to ride. Is the RENPHO bike still beta? Note that I'm a french person so my english maybe awkward at time. |

Salut Martin, moi aussi j 'ai un Renpho . Il se connecte sans problème au QZ. J’avais des problèmes à contrôler la résistance à partir du tile. J'ai contacté Renpho avec le numéro de série et j'ai pu mettre à jour le firmware. Maintenant, je suis capable de contrôler la résistance à partir du tile de QZ mais je ne l'ai pas encore essayé avec Zwift ou Peloton pour tester l'auto-résistance. En principe, ça devrait marcher avec le nouveau firmware. |

No, usually when connected thru zwift the auto-resistance kick in and force the bike dial on the GEAR mode. Right now I am on the resistance only that I am increasing or decreasing myself.
Versus
There is also the heart rate monitor that is fine in QZ but no value is shown in Zwift Bluetooth parameters when connected.

for the heart rate is a known limitation of android plus a know issue on zwift. Zwift can't reat HR from ftms bluetooth from QZ (i don't know why they didn't implement) and the android above version 9 can't send HR as separate service via bluetooth. So you can use a older device if you want to have a Heart rate on zwift or an iOS device |

for the resistance: you have to use the gears tile on qz to change it, it's normal that your knob is locked. gears can also be changed by remote bluetooth devices. Also I can implement knob trigger in order to change the gears if your bike send it by bluetooth |

Ok so I just added the Gear Tile and played with it. When increasing the value it increase the resistance properly but it is not smooth when pedaling because everytime the knob is switching to the gear view the resistance drop under my feet and come back immediately after it is back to the resistance view. You can see it in my previous video that the knob is flickering between gear and resistance. It does the same if I am not touching it and when changing gears from qdomyos. I wish I could have the knob locked on the gear and being able to change the gears with it. |

What does 'watt gain' mean? If i set this to 1.1 Renpho bike shows for example 100W and Zwift shows 118 Watt roundabout. I've test the Renpho bike with Favero assioma powermeter pedals. After one hour the pedals shows 96 Watt AVG and Zwift 80 Watt AVG. 20% too low. I want to correct this with qdomyos-Zwift. |

In this log the zwift erg mode is off on qz. That's the reason. Please turn it on and restart qz |

Oh. My fault. Now it's working with gain 1. With gain 1.1 i think it is not working correct. Free Ride: Thats ok in case of a deviation of 10%. ERG Mode: That’s wrong. Bike has to shown 70/1.1 (≈64Watts) Am i right or am i right we would ask in german. :-) I hope so. |

bike will always shows you the 70W but i'm sending erg 77W to the bike. I can't force the current wattage of the bike, i can only force the requsted wattage. Try to use a 2x gain and I guess you will feel the difference |

I'm a litte bit curious. ;-) In this case the power pedal are connected directly to zwift. Only 'Controllable' is connected via QZ to Zwift. Zwift says 'Do 75 Watts for 5 Min' in ERG Mode. Gain is 1. The requested Power is 66 Watts. Does Zwift calculating this value? And what does 'ios workaround power changed request' mean.

To Connect power pedals and Rhenpo controllable unit to zwift i have to go through the followings steps.
If i connect the pedals first, zwift will never find bikes controllable unit. Ok. Is it possible to connect pedals AND Rhenpo controllable to qz in the same session? |

It works, but has a strange behavior. The bike has three modes. In Zwift's free ride mode, it shows gears from 1 to 20 in increments of one. In ERG mode, it shows 0 to 40 n/m instead of gears. Without any Bluetooth connection I can then change the resistance in steps of 0.5 n/m. With QZ it constantly toggles between showing gears and showing n/m. And I can't change the resistance. If I switch off the automatic resistance in QZ, it works. But it shows n/m instead of gears. It's no big deal. But that's what the test showed. So I can adjust the gears even finer, which isn't bad either. |

Hi. :-) Something is wrong in ERG mode when I use power pedals as accessories in QZ. The resistance is too high and accordingly the watt values are also too high. Without QZ, the values level off at 75 watts with the pedals when Zwift demands 75 watts in the workout. With QZ, the values are around 90-100 watts |

I've tested it. It's not working correct. " << 20 00 76 00 59 03 a9 73" 106 watts from bike is correct. The values are around 105 watts in this phase. But 105 is that what Zwift wants. Watts from the bike should be around 10% lower to reach 105 Watts with the Assioma Pedals. Without QZ it does exactly that. |

Okay. Here we go. Sa. Juni 4 07:26:17 2022 Sa. Juni 4 07:26:22 2022 May be some problems with zero values? Due to the log it seems that QZ only reads pedals values if Zwift changes its demands. QZ has to read pedal values permanently. And it may has to use avg values. This are values from a workout: If QZ only reads the 160 when zwift changes its demands, the value being sent to the bike is too high. We're trying to recreate what Zwift has already programmed. ;-) The best way would be to simulate the pedal and let Zwift do that work. I don't now if this would be possible. |

Yes we're recreating the zwift experience :D The only way to let to zwift takes the lead is using 2 different phones or devices because, I guess, Zwift, understand that the power comes from a different source than the bike itself and so it changes its behaviour. Anyway I think we're on the good path, we need just some adjustments. |

Here is a comparison of several methods.
Maybe the last column is a good solution. If you save the Averages for every ZD-Value for the combination of two specific devices, there will be a nice database after some workouts. Have fun to program one of this or any other method. I'm looking forward to it. :-) |

Oh Sorry. Yes. I've tested it four or five times. Zwift does it a little bit better. Especially at very short intervals. But in my opinion, it is ok and good enough to roll out. Maybe I'll come up with an improvement over time. |

I'm having a couple of issues with QZ running with my Renpho bike. Resistance control works OK, but there is no terrain feedback now other than speed difference i.e. no matter what the terrain grade is on Zwift my Renpho runs at constant resistance. Another issue is the phone disconnects from ATV once in a while. I did a 60minute group ride and it disconnected twice on me. Is there something in setting I'm missing? My setup is Renpho->Samsung 10 phone-> ATV-> Zwift
