F's sputtering alpha causing AE to crash

Only just today, I saved a project that used sputtering alpha and when I had closed AE and tried reopening the project AE would just shut itself down before it loaded. There is no error message given and the issue only comes when trying to OPEN a project that contains the plugin, using the plugin on a project that is already opened doesn't cause it to crash. I've tried it on multiple different files and renders no idea what might be causing this
