Install XCode
9.4+ from AppStore.
Next you need Command Line Tools
, install them from XCode => Preferences => Locations
Install Oracle JDK 8
Install Android Studio
, choose Custom setup
and check next boxes:
- Android SDK
- Android SDK Platform
- Performance (Intel HAXM)
- Android Virtual Device
Next, you need to install Android SDK
8.1 and select Android SDK Platform 27
and Google APIs Intel x86 Atom System Image
Then you need to configure your ANDROID_HOME environment.
For standard macOS terminal you can make ~/.bash_profile and put next lines:
export ANDROID_HOME=~/Library/Android/sdk
export PATH=$PATH:$ANDROID_HOME/emulator
export PATH=$PATH:$ANDROID_HOME/tools
export PATH=$PATH:$ANDROID_HOME/tools/bin
export PATH=$PATH:$ANDROID_HOME/platform-tools

and NodeJS

brew install watchman
npm install -g react-native-cli
npm run init

Then compile and install Watchman
with guide.
Run the following commands:
npm install -g react-native-cli
npm run init
Run npm run dev
for a iOS dev server and npm run dev:android
for Android. The simulator will start automatically.
