Each loop is visualized by a round VU; great!
Unfortunately the overall lout-level has a screen wide VU that obscures the loops.

I'm not sure how the screen wide VU helps, since that is already visualized in 2 other places.
If you insist on keeping it , please make it another color, and have it under the loops.

several of the VUs are a new feature i just added - i do expect they maybe buggy

im not sure which parts you are referring to tho - could you put a screen shot maybe and explain with colors and positions

if you mean the one that covers the entire scene of playing loops - i dislike that one too - i want it to be much more subtle or else gone

yeah, that one.
I'd vote for gone, as I don't see what it brings to the table.

IIRC that is showing the combined level of all playing tracks as a warning when it begins to overdrive - this information is duplicated but only as the thin slices in the output histogram

as it is now is actually more subtle than my first idea which was to flash the entire screen bright red whenever that bar would be red

i think it should be moved to overlay the output histogram instead and made much more subtle unless red

Huh, it's duplicated in the output histogram and in the output VU. no?
What do you mean by "only as the thin slices"?
Also: I just made some loops that clip the output, and the overlay bar only sometimes reflects the high levels: most of the time it stays small and green, one in about 5 loops it gets bigger and reaches yellow.
It never turns red, as I'd expect (to mach the histogram).
The VU in the bottom left does seem to be correct.

ok good observation - i will see if they are calculated differently

yea i forgot about the output VU - that could probably replace this feature entire - i have not used it much since i added that

That's how I see it as well. The output VU covers this. Loose the bar.
