Knomi 2 and K1 Screen

When I installed the Knomi and booted up my K1. The K1 screen boots but then goes black
is it supposed to take over for the printer's UI? I really need to start some prints from the printer screen
Any fix for this?

I'm thinking of buying a Knomi 2 and I'd like to know if the screen becomes inoperable after installing the Knomi 2.

Mine ended up being an issue with changing the probe points.
