wrong firmware for cylindrical camera? #2
Comments
The error is The device id shows up as USB\VID_0000&PID_0004\5&32b3201e&0&21 |
@bigboss-ps3dev Do you have any advice on this? I may need to purchase a cylindrical camera and I want to make sure it works before spending the money. |
i have it working on osx. Not tested on other platforms. |
Could a poorly solder connector cause this problem, or would that just not connect to the computer at all? |
I only tested on osx with home made connector aux female to usb3 male https://twitter.com/psxdev/status/786954904690720768 |
That's the connector i've got as well, not sure i trust my soldering skills on the aux connector, but it communicates with the computer. i'll have to see if i can get it to work on my work mac. |
@rdpeake have you got this to work? |
Have yet to try |
I need some help. |
See #1 for fix! |
Following up on this now (i've gotten the official ps5 adapter for the camera, so i know it is not the usb adapter) - but after running the load script for the camera, it shows up as a 'OVR camera' but nothing is able to get a follow up handle on the device in order to capture any video stream for the device - not even running the tool a second time is able to connect to the hardware. |

Hey, so i have the newer cylindrical PS4 camera, and whilst i am able to run firmware code from stbnps's fork on windows 10 i get an error following that, about the driver reporting an error. I am assuming that the problem here is that the newer camera requires a different firmware than what is currently available here.
Am i correct in my assumption?
