cannot find package _

I have several package overrides (via fetchGit) defined in my default.nix. HIE complains that (at least?) one of them can't be found when it runs. This occurs if I launch spacemacs from within the corresponding nix shell as well as from without. I'm running a cabal.project in the root directory and a /foo/foo.cabal in the project directory. I've run cabal configure on the latter. Any idea what the issue may be?

Thanks for doing this btw, hie-nix w ghcjs has be a sore spot for me for awhile!
