Description

Upon activating the plugin, the user is directed to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpa0-setup&activation=1, presumably to a setup wizard experience. However, this page simply displays Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page., despite the user account having Super Admin access.

Reproduction

  1. Install the plugin
  2. Be redirected to the wizard
  3. Wizard does not display, instead being replaced by the error Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

Additional context

  • No errors or warnings are output into the server logs
  • The rest of the plugin UI can be accessed as normal
  • Worth noting that ours is a multisite installation

I've had this same issue recently on single-site WP installations (two different InfinityFree installations and one Pantheon installation), I worked around it with manual configuration but it's annoying nonetheless
