Marketing Emails

Every year in August, it is good idea to send out an email to past visitors of Beehive as a reminder to use the platform. Since Beehive has mostly been a niche tool spread by word-of-mouth (and that doesn't necessarily need to change), this is likely the only marketing you will need to do.

If the team wants, you can also send out "New Listings" email, which can be done on the Admin tab of the website.

Handling OURS

Sean Burns, who is the Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarships, often advocates for URAP, which he oversees. It is useful to develop a working relationship with him to prevent misunderstandings. In particular, he does not want to muddy the message of what URAP and Beehive each represent: URAP is the official undergrad research program, and Beehive is a student-supported platform for researchers to use for off-cycle recruitment (aka not during URAP recruitment season).
