A user should be able to copy/bookmark a url representing the current state of the search criteria

This would help in two areas:

  • Currently back-navigation to a Rosalind search result page doesn't work, bc the browser defaults to a blank search form / empty result set

  • This may help genomers in ad hoc tracking of their work / picking up where they left off, without adding a lot of new business logic

Among the things to keep in the URL state…

  • the current search criteria
  • the current offset / # of pages loaded

For the initial release, we’re going in the direction of filtering by created_at timestamp on the artwork, and using that for workflow tracking rather than using a structured URL.
