about workflow tasks total number

I notice that Status.progress N/M , why M is not tasks total number ,
if i do not known total number ,how can i know the workflow progress ?

This is based on historical data. Status.progress is most useful when you have a lot of similar workflows that have already completed in your cluster

The total number of tasks cannot be known until the workflow completes due withItems and withSequence`. Therefore it is just update to the total known tasks.

1. I think it is possible to count the total number for tasks all in the workflow.Maybe I can get total number of task by counting withItems and withSequence number .
   len(withItems) or withSequence.end - withSequence.start
2. if not need to count the total number of tasks , there is some reason ?
