Work has been started.

These users each claimed they can complete the work by 2 weeks ago.
Please review their action plans below:

1) abhimanyu121 has started work.

Will be useful for existing communities.
2) pyython has started work.

We're creating a platform for creating and engaging with liquid democracy DAOs on top of Aragon using Aragon Connect.
3) porobov has started work.

Upala is an anti-Sybil system for DApps and a decentralized digital identity in the future.

The purpose of this grant is to build the BladerunnerDAO - the minimal viable identity system on top of Upala.

BladeRunnerDAO will use membership in existing DAOs as an entry test (proof-of-human) and auto-assign scores to the members. It will also provide the functionality to add other DAOs and other types of entry-tests. Probably it will even grow organically to manage Upala itself.
4) lkngtn has started work.

1Hive has created a community currency called Honey and an Aragon DAO-based distribution protocol for funding common/community goods. For the DAO hack month, We built a sybil resistant token faucet using BrightID to provide a way to onboard people to 1Hive by distributing Honey to verified users.

Users use BrightID to manage a web-of-trust style social graph, BrightID nodes analyze the graph and report if a user is likely to be a unique person. When a user interacts with the faucet for the first time, they are asked to link their BrigthID with their xDai public key within the 1Hive context, and this is used to determine if they are eligible to resister for and claim faucet distributions.

We expect that this will be an interesting way to distribute Honey in a broad and inclusive fashion, similar to how in the early days of proof of work, it was possible for anyone to mine on their home computer or laptop. And by providing a faucet we add to the incentive to find and fix issues in BrightIDs decentralized sybil resistance mechanism, which would be a huge enabler for more pro-social decentralized mechanisms such as quadratic voting/finance, maximum-stake rules in staking systems, and larger crypto-ubi projects. As Glen Weyl put it, "Any system that formalizes ownership and property but does not formalize people will inherently tend to serve capital and ownership rather than people." Our hope is that this project will help show the power and potential of more human-centric DAOs.

The faucet is live now at https://faucet.1hive.org
5) okduncan has started work.

We build an Aragon Gardens template functionality accessible and configurable via a Discord server interface.
6) mikedeshazer has started work.

Today, Ethereum gas prices make it very difficult and expensive to interact with Aragon DAOs. It can cost as much as $4 to vote on a proposal and $10 to create a proposal in Aragon DAOs. AragonOnMatic migrates an existing organization to the Matic sidechain and allows users to migrate their Aragon state to the Mainnet at much cheaper costs.
7) zachalam has started work.

🦋 A delightful voting explorer (that really encourages voter participation).
8) cojocaru has started work.

Easy DAO onboarding for https://influencers.md/. Our goal is to build a DAO for collaboration between influencers and brands. We want to build this community locally in Moldova and subsequently expand internationally. We started with onboarding which is a simple process for testing purposes. The next step is to integrate Aragon for collabs and crypto for transactions as well as smart contracts for escrow.
9) taosue has started work.

Aragon empowers freedom by creating liberating tools that leverage decentralized technologies. And yet Chinese citizens, of which there are 1.4 billion, rarely speak English and live in one of the most centraly controlled jursidictions in the world. We decided to do something about it by building Aragon China DAO, an intentionally opinionated Karma DAO builder in Chinese. Whist Aragon Client is intentionally neutral and offers a diverse range of DAO templates, Aragon China DAO is heavily opinionated and only offers the Karma DAO template, sacrificing choice for simplicity. "Karma" is also fitting with our Chinese routes and ovearching philosophy of "what we give is what we get". Our immediate focus is on expanding the Aragon ecosystem in China. However, we've already implemented easy language switching so that other languages can be quickly added soon inlcuding South Korean, Hindi, Japanese and Spanish with English already implemented as a secondary default. We believe this makes Aragon DAOs significantly more accessable to billions more people that don't speak English. We would like to give special thanks to Karma DAO, Aragon Connect and FBFly - all of which are tools we have leveraged to create the chinese Aragon DAO builder. Recognising that Ethereum gas fees are increasingly prohibitive to DAO adoption, we have created the DAO builder in such a way that builders can choose to deploy their DAO on Ethereum or the xDAI blockchain. Once Aragon Chain launches, we intend to add that as a 3rd deployment option. Alongside the energy of our adorably cute Aragon panda and mascot, we are thrilled to bring Aragon to China.
10) vlzhr has started work.

Cross-chain multi-layer Media DAO to build powerful communities.

We’re building a plugin to connect WordPress to Aragon.org.

Over 455 million websites are built with WordPress. The Aragon WordPress plugin will enable website visitors to seamlessly interact with an Aragon DAO directly from a WordPress website.

Some examples of in-page interactions include:

– Submitting a vote
– Purchasing a product or service with the funds flowing straight to the associated DAO
– Donating funds to a DAO
– Joining a DAO as a new member

We hope to be able to make these interactions possible without even leaving the WordPress page or post, through embeddable widgets built on top of Aragon Connect.

This is part of the Hack for Freedom hackathon, a virtual hackathon building products on top of Aragon Connect.

We connected the popular forum software, Discourse, to Aragon Connect.
People can vote to add token to another member, granting them admin status.
Or they can initiate a vote for a proposal, and vote from it from the thread.

Somewhat tired of your government? kickstart a new nation using blockchain tech today!

Set the target funds for the nation's treasury, draft a first version of the constitution, invite other people to become citizens by contributing to the treasury and the constitution.

If your treasury reaches the target, it and the constitution will be governed by all its citizens, democratically. If not, everyone gets their contribution back.

If your target was large enough, and you have enough citizens, ask to become a member by sending an email to [email protected]
14) zyra-zia has started work.

A Telegram bot for connecting to an existing Aragon DAO and interacting with it.
15) sepu85 has started work.

A web3.0 app to allow Community Inclusive Currencies (CIC) to mint new coins by passing trough a DAO verification process in which commitments of goods and services are offered to the community to guarantee the currency value while adding a collateral that grants a self-controlled redemption process through a bounding curve (out of scope of this prototype) to keep its value stable against DAIs.

El Dorado Business Accounts is tool that allows Latin-Americans, focused in Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), starting with Venezuelans, to manage monthly payrolls for the employees in an automated way, perfect for the COVID times we’re going through right now, that makes the payment in cash really hard and also, limits the money owner to spend it in digital services / goods.
17) bflynn4141 has started work.

RabbitHole Clubhouse is a reputation DAO that grants XP to users for completing tasks across DeFi applications. Users can use XP to determine how community ecosystem funds should be used.

Instead of how much governance tokens you own, it's how much you value you did for the ecosystem!
18) jabyl has started work.

Distributed Town is a Social DAO that lets local communities self-organize, and manage their skills and resources collectively. Fully autonomous from government approvals and slow, bureaucratic red-tape.
19) mauerv has started work.

A DAO to increase government accountability and transparency to its citizens. We all want to build a better world, and keeping our governments in check is part of that. We live in the age of surveillance, we might as well coordinate and watch the watchers.
20) youngkidwarrior has started work.

NFT Request team is expanding 1hive’s token request app to support ERC721. NFTs held by DAOs will be put on display in the NFT Gallery, where they are auctioned off using a generic pricing algorithm. The algorithm depreciates the NFT price every block, then doubles the price on a sale. Using a pricing algorithm offloads the responsibility of DAO participants to price each the individual NFT and can also provide users with “deals”. Just click and sign! It’s that simple.
21) nanspro has started work.

Tx path chooser
22) kanika1799 has started work.

Easy DAO onboarding app
23) crisog has started work.
