How to change the coordinates in the z-direction when creating a sphere?

Hi @penwan23 There are several ways of creating a sphere and it would help a lot if you let us know which method you are using. Generally speaking the sphere is located on the Working Plane. You can then first move the working plane in the Z direction the necessary amount, then create the sphere.

Thank you very much, another question I have is I generated a set of coordinates, how do I create spheres at each coordinate please. Really hope you can help me.

@penwan23 well there are a few ways to do this. And which to chose depends on a few factors; the big one is whether all the spheres are the same size or not. If they are not the same size, read up on using the Working Plane in the public help section I posted before. You can loop over the set of coordinates moving the working plane as needed then creating the next sphere.

Alternatively if there is a nice pattern to the spheres maybe making copies, or making copies of several groups of spheres, would be better. See here in the pudlic MAPDL help on modeling.
