Describe your issue

Sometimes it's hard to know if I've got all the context for a node. Knowing all the Quick Views that this node shows in could help see the node within a few different contexts (if it has a few different contexts).

Solution you'd like

Add a section to the Details Pane for Quick Views that the selected node shows up in.

Questions:

  • will it be jarring if clicking on a Quick View here results in deselecting the current node?
  • is it awkward if this section exists for nodes and not edges? Seeing this for edges doesn't seem as useful.
  • is this use-case worth the UX space in the Details Pane?

Alternatives you've considered

Technical ideas and questions

  • maybe all Quick Views should cache the nodes/edges that their filters result in showing
    • selecting a view could use this cache, in addition to making it easy to check which views a selected node shows in
    • probably calculate this for a Quick View whenever it changes, including when it's loaded initially? or maybe it should async calculate, and selecting a view only use this cache if it's calculated and fresh
