Issues with testing a wip branch

Hi there, I follow up on my comment that was misplaced here #79 (comment) , as it turned out, I was not working on the correct branch.

I have now added the following in my init and made sure that the correct branch is checked out. However, I still have the same bug when running the snippet described at the link above. My best guess is that I am not actually using the fix. Anyone has any idea on how to troubleshoot this ?

  :straight (org-ql :host github :repo "alphapapa/org-ql" :branch "wip/issue-79"))

Edit: I am also interested in learning how to test it without using straight.

I am really not sure what I did differently, but the 3rd emacs restart was the charm.
