Getting error -600

Not sure since when but it now always return error -600

I had the same error occur yesterday. As said in #4, I noticed the Finder process actually hanged. I restarted it and the problem went away.

I'm getting this error but only when running inside tmux, any ideas?

just found out why, brew set tmux binary to be myuser:admin, i've chowned it to myuser:staff and now trash works normally

This also happens when using trash from within screen. The permissions on the binary seem to make no difference. When using outside screen, it works as predicted.
