Problem

I would love to be able to selectively disable not just for individual creators using the manual allowlist, but instead/also using a pattern. The current way of configuring an allowlist is inconvenient and hard to ensure correct; maybe I mispelled a channel name, misunderstood how the channel name is filtered (unique user name or display name?), maybe I forgot to hit save?

Suggestion

Specifically, I would like the ability to site-wide enable/disable DeArrow for:

  • Subscribed channels
  • Channels with certain subscription notification settings (my favorite creators, who I have set to 'all notifications', use fairly considerate wrapping on their uploads)

Alternatives

Other settings for the allowlist:

  • Filter using channels of a certain size?
  • The ability to select a (URL) source for the allowlist? (this wouldn't fix all my problems with the systems mentioned above, but it would make a custom solution possible)

Another solution to my problem would be to make it a lot easier to enable/disable DeArrow for creators, maybe adding a toggle near the subscribe button on video and channel pages.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly but getting the subscribed channels would require some kind of YouTube API authentication or reverse engineering.

But yeah, I'd like that feature too, cause I find the allowlist not that easy to use either.
