PCM audio in titles such as Galactic Pinball are too slow.

Galactic Pinball PCM is driven by the timer. Setting the timer to 350 cycles per 20 us, as opposed to the expected 400 cycles, seems to match my hardware playback.

  • Setting all CPU instructions to take 1 cycle did not speed up PCM playback. Setting all instructions to 100 cycles slowed down normal audio and PCM playback.
  • Speeding up VIP 2, 3, 4x results in animations being faster, but no change to PCM playback (though the whole audio playback got stuttery at 4x).
