@patrickakk at https://dhcr.clarin-dariah.eu/users/sign-in, please amend the first bullet point to:

  • use your INSTITUTIONAL e-mail address and DHCR password to log in

in the yellow box:
"You need to log in to the DHCR with your institutional e-mail address if you are a lecturer or other academic institution member and want to .... "

thanks!!

I'm not sure if that will make a difference. The link you provided is the login page. When people use this page, their email address is already stored in the database. At this page they can only use data which was entered somewhere else.

Where?
It's entered at the registration page:
https://dhcr.clarin-dariah.eu/users/register

And can be edited in the profile settings: (also after the account is approved, without further check except confirmation mail which is sent to the new address).
https://dhcr.clarin-dariah.eu/users/change-email

If you want to make a change to the email address that the user enters or changes, I would suggest to take a look at those pages.

Of course, if you want to change the text anyway, the change can be made.

I'm also including @IvdL22 here, so that we can agree on the text first and then make the change only once, if possible.

@IvdL22 What do you think of the request from @PixlTracer ?

@patrickakk @PixlTracer I think it is important to be consistent everywhere.

  1. Registration form page: https://dhcr.clarin-dariah.eu/users/register
I have slightly amended the text. @patrickakk Please replace the current text with the one below.

User Registration
Lecturers, programme directors, and national moderators who wish to add or curate course metadata in the registry are invited to create a DHCR account by completing the registration form. Please note that only requests submitted with a valid institutional email address will be approved.

Registration is not required to view and browse the registry. See tutorial video for more info.

  1. Log In page: https://dhcr.clarin-dariah.eu/users/sign-in?redirect=%2Fusers%2Fchange-email
@patrickakk Please replace the current text with the one below as it contains small enhancements.

Use your institutional e-mail address and DHCR password to log in.
Reset your password if you forgot it or never set one.
If you do not have a DHCR account, please use the registration form to create one.

Registration and login details are required only for those members who actively contribute to the DH Course registry (e.g. enter and curate course metadata). All other users are free to use the publicly available content and features without any restrictions. Watch this video tutorial to learn how to browse or filter the courses in the registry.
