Project that build a simple Media App VOD (Video On-Demand) application that keeps track of a list of videos the user has watched.
** Application Features
- Application should display a list of videos in a horizontal carousel on the home page which can be scrollable.
- User should be able to select a video to play in full screen.
- When the video is finished, the application should go back to the previous page.
- The user should be able to use a mouse and keyboard to select the video.
- The user should be able to see a list of videos they have previously watched.
- The application must be responsible to changing screen sizes. You do not need to implement a mobile view but it should at least adjust based on the desktop browser width.
This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.
You may use this API for a video list https://demo2697834.mockable.io/movies
Project should look like this:
my-app/
README.md
node_modules/
package.json
public/
index.html
favicon.ico
src/
App.css
App.js
App.test.js
index.css
index.js
logo.svg
For the project to build, these files must exist with exact filenames:
public/index.html
is the page template;src/index.js
is the JavaScript entry point.
You can delete or rename the other files.
You may create subdirectories inside src
. For faster rebuilds, only files inside src
are processed by Webpack.
You need to put any JS and CSS files inside src
, otherwise Webpack won’t see them.
Only files inside public
can be used from public/index.html
.
You can, however, create more top-level directories.
They will not be included in the production build so you can use them for things like documentation.
Before you go through this example, you should have at least a basic understanding of ReactJS concepts. You must also already have reactjs installed on your machine.
- Test in localhost:
To run it, cd into react-media-app-vod-accedo
and run:
npm install
npm start / yarn start
npm run build
creates a build
directory with a production build of your app. Set up your favourite HTTP server so that a visitor to your site is served index.html
, and requests to static paths like /static/js/main.<hash>.js
are served with the contents of the /static/js/main.<hash>.js
file.
