Folder moving is not updated #1680
-
In the onedrive shared folders, I synced a folder called Jenkins. In that, I synced only the Jenkins/LatestBuilds folder Today I moved some of the subfolders of Jenkins\LatestBuilds to Jenkins\OldBuilds from Onedrive website in through browser. And then I synced using the onedrive sync command again.
But the folders still there in the LatestBuilds folder of linux machine. So, I deleted a folder and synced to check. But it got deleted in the Jenkins\OldBuilds folder this time. It seems, even though we moved folders to a different folder, the onedrive client still pointing to the same contents |

I 100% suspect this is something that you are doing, rather than the client itself. Most likely you are syncing | using client data that is not insync with OneDrive to begin with.
Unsure why you are using my prior example - unless you have called your account / config directory as per above. So lets step through your use case:
My configuration to replicate your environment:
Local File System:
Online State: Before the move, check the sync status:
Move 7-11-2021 from LatestBuilds to OldBuilds: Sync the client on the Linux System:
Check the local filesystem:
So as you can see from this example, moving a folder online will move the folder locally on next sync - so the real question comes back to how are you running the client, are you sure you are syncing with the right configuration. |
