The text in README.md is written in Markdown, which uses plain text to produce a nice looking format. The most direct way to contribute is to make a Pull Request to this repository. To do this,
- Open the README.md file in a new tab.
- In that tab, click on the pen 🖊️ on the top right of the file content ("edit the file")
- Edit whatever you want to edit. In the best case, your addition should include:
- name of the model/dataset/tool
- one sentence description
- a website/URL
- related publication (optional)
- Check out what you have changed using the "Preview" tab
- Go to the bottom of the page and give your edits a meaningful description in the field below "Commit Changes", e.g. "added OGGM as a glacier model"
- Switch the radio button to "Create a new branch for this commit and start a pull request". You may edit the name of the branch, e.g. "add-oggm"
- Click on "Propose Changes" at the bottom
- Click on "Create Pull Request"
Your request will be managed then.
However, you can also always send your addition via E-Mail. Please make sure to include as much information as possible listed under bullet point "3.".
