The project to translate @rust-lang's documentation to Japanese has a word list at TranslationTable.md. It's dual Apache2/MIT licensed, and we can pull in more terms from there.

I suppose other communities also maintain such lists, maybe we can pull from them too.

Hey, that's really cool! Thanks for the tip. My guess would be that we wouldn't want to copy all words as-is, we would want to curate it. For example, any Rust specific terminology probably has no place in japanese-dev-lingo. But anything related to development in general (or a large category of languages) can probably go in.

I've taken a look into that Translation Table and I think it has a lot of valuable vocabularies I haven't seen on here. There are quite some nice vocabs which are non language dependent, such as immutable, lifetime (of a variable I assume) or even tuple, which I haven't seen here yet, but can make a valuable addition to this repo in my opinion.

But it depends how big you want this project to grow. As far as I understood it, you're more about Quality over Quantity with this project and I'm 100% with you on that.

If you want to, I could see if I find some more nice vocabs in there and make a pull request. But of course I don't wanna steal @hdhoang 's cake there ;)

I'm all for adding useful software engineering terms. The ones you mentioned apply to many languages (not just Rust), so would be valuable additions 👍

Who wants to PR, I leave to you both ;) よろしくお願いします ^^
