AR28B no btl file for first cast, need to get bottle metadata from LTER_sample_log.xls #20
Comments
There's no bottle file because we had to trip the niskins manually via
the CTD deck box because something was messed up on the computer. On the
hand written CTD cast sheet for a few of the niskins tripped there are
scan counts of when they were tripped which could potentially be used
for making a bottle file

We literally did not receive a btl file for AR28B cast 1. I think the
present API workflow needs the btl file to obtain bottle metadata. In
the absence of btl file, the API output skips nutrients without bottle
metadata. Luckily, the Sosik lab includes some bottle metadata in
their LTER_sample_log.xls, i.e., bottle number and target depth. For
this cruise, cast 1, there should be 3 bottles sampled for nutrients
each with 2 replicates.

Check if OOI has a revised bottle metadata file for this cast. |
OOI does not have a revised bottle file in alfresco. Not in raw or processed directories. They don't really care about this cast because it was at an LTER site, not an OOI official cast. |
With #103 fix, ar28b_nut.csv now includes 3 bottles sampled for cast 1 for nutrients each with 2 replicates. The sample_ids are 525, 526, 527, 528, 416, 417. |
