No longer lets tablet display timeout

ever since the .5 update my galaxy tab 10 won't turn off the screen when it is on a view that has an mp4 playing in the background.

I am a new user and don't know how it was before .5 update but I have the same problem. Can't turn my screen off. The tablet won't do that as a video is playing. Is i possible to choose wich view will have animated background? A workaround would be to switch to a view vitout animated background ang then make the screen turn off.
