Meeting notes (October 5, 2022)

To add association between RM Attribute and Identifiable Artefact (IA)
In current version of GSIM, there are similarities how RM Structure is modeled and Data Set Structure is modeled, RM Attribute corresponds to basically Data Set Structure Components.
When we have Data Set that can function as metadata, having association with Represented Variable allows us to bring any content that is associated with variable (e.g., data points). Is the distinction between metadata and data in terms of structure necessary?
One issue is that transition from metadata and data can be quite abstract way of thinking, if we model RM Structure and Data Structure the same way because metadata can be data (and vice versa), people might find this part of model more difficult to use.
It is important to make sure what model could do before (through Represented Variable) can do now
If we keep the current proposal (referring to Identifiable Artefact), RM Attribute can refer to anything, including Data Set. Perhaps we just need to explain the notion somewhere providing guidance

Regarding Referential Metadata (RM) Subject

Existence of RM Subject is redundant, we can make RM Structure directly refers to IA (e.g., “has subject”)
While removing RM Subject makes the model neater, but it would be beneficial to keep it so that users can find core pieces of information more easily when capturing referential metadata

Plan

Task team will aim to finish all updates by end of March 2022, 3 more months would be needed after that for public review and update based on review comments
InKyung to start making minor correction for Structure Group directly on UML diagram (like how it was done for Business Group) based on metadata glossary
Re-Issue #10, need to compile examples such as RM mapping and process modeling from Hungary
