Maybe could be used for pyparsing etc. too?

What would be needed to achieve that? The transformer part is pretty special.

The transformer part could probably be switched off for that purpose.

Parsers written in Python are probably natural candidates for that. See also https://tomassetti.me/parsing-in-python/.

We could sort them by Github stars (or some other popularity metric and work from the top to the bottom).
