Usage Instructions #8
Comments
Yes thank you.
Thank you. I found it, just as you said, hidden in the dock.
I am a Linux user and never use Windows normally so didn't know that.
It didn't work for me. It rebooted right back into windows after showing
the Grub screen and timing out.
( My issue is that I have a dual touchscreen laptop. Keyboard andoise are
wireless and so don't work until you're in an OS.
This means I cannot select any item in Grub. Ridiculous I know.
Any advice appreciated
And thanks for building this tool!!!

Possible that is hidden under triangle to present less in the dock.
Click on it will present a menu to choose next reboot option and reboot
button

I am a Linux user as well. But some software and games are only available on Windows, so sad but true. Ok, first of all, I assume you have 2 SSD/HDD for two systems. Because my tool only changes the order of boot UEFI and solves that problem. I suggest turning off OS-probe for Grub and configuring Grub to only load your Linux and removing any other options from the Grub menu. Also, you can pin Linux to always be first or even stay only Linux. By the way, that means if you have 2 OSes on one single disk and manage them via Grub, you need to do something similar but only change the order of Grub once for the next boot. Like example by default to Linux and Windows only by request that once. PS I have a similar UEFI tool to the one I mentioned above, but for Linux. https://github.com/Toxblh/uefibma is ugly, true, but it's just a wrapper around efibootmgr. |
Ah yes, unfortunately I have to log into Windows on this machine.
Otherwise I simply have a Linux only machine ( multi distro but not non
Open Source ).

HI, forgive me if I missed something here, but I cannot find any human instructions on how to use this. I installed the .exe, which didn't show any obvious feedback when installed, so I was kind of stuck as to what to do next.
I'm using Windows 11, and there is nothing to see in any of the shutdown menus that allows me to select Linux.
If I'm supposed to use the terminal.. how do I do so?
Thanks.
