apparently in rare cases it breaks (reported by Kobold):

Обычно при переподключении на ВПН и с него случается, особенно когда ВПН не работает, на других ирц-клиентах оно тоже не сразу понимает, что к чему, но потом переподключается, возможно там есть проверка с сервером раз в сколько-то?
