My suguestion is to do a check if the device is connected to a VPN like tailscale or other the show the VPN IP else show the public IP as fallback.
Normal on privat internet connwctions the KVM device is behinde a NAT firewall and all the firewall have a public IP to the internet. Its possible to get the public IP with a simple curl command to a service like myip.dk.

Lets sets the C/F from the config file and move it to the bottom of the display and add the public/VPN ip to the display
