Use an external download manager #268
Comments
Yup, I still wasn't able to refactore downloading, but if I am this is one of the things that needs to be done. |
How about I add an option to download with an external download manager or the new GigaGet based one? |
Yes sounds god. |
@satiricon, tell me more about this GIgaGet-based download manager? ;) |
@rmenessec I'm working on adding better download capabilities to NewPipe using code from GigaGet. #243 |
@satiricon - Oh. Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were referencing a new download manager app based on GigaGet--which appears abandoned. Using GG code in NewPipe does seem like a good move, though. |
I'll probably make a fork of GigaGet and I'll work on it as a pet project when I get some time. |
I was going to suggest using GigaGet code, good to see its being considered already. |
While embedding GigaGet in the app is nice, having everything in ADM helps me to keep my downloads centralized, so it would be great if external download manager support could be added nonetheless. |
@devnoname120 An option to chooce between the internal or anexternal download manager is in my list. Don't worry about it. |
closing if favour of #962 |
It would be nice if I could use ADM for downloading videos instead of the default download manager.
