Dependency issues

Some of the API mods that Motherlode depends on haven't been updated to the newest snapshot versions.

• LibGui: Newest version causes the game to crash when the redstone transmitter GUI is opened
• Trinkets: The version that works with snapshots is a complete rewrite; accessories module was disabled
• GeckoLib: Mobs module was disabled

Could we in theory fork Trinkets and port it up to 21w03a?

We could, but I think it would be better if we updated it to the rewrite, because we would have to do it at some point anyway.

We have been discussing that already, but Trinkets had a rewrite so we will have to use it later anyways.

I suppose, although the whole code will have to be stripped out and redone. I will consult the Trinkets dev to see what has changed.

I think when I looked at it it used data packs now or something.

Emi and C4 are basically merging all of Curios' features and utilities into Trinkets, so it'll have all the advantages of both mods going forward. It's gonna be a huge net positive to the Fabric ecosystem, but it'll take a bit of time to sort out. Once it's ready I'm happy to PR an update to it.
