Not easy to find a GrapheneOS device here, so could only test with emulator.

Works OK with Pixel 7 emulator running stock Android 14.

My best bet is if GrapheneOS isn't doing any over hardening that is breaking Amaze...

I've an issue that looks exactly the same as this. Connects to SMB share, can browse. Can't copy across. A dummy file of 0k is created, but nothing else seems to happen. Is it noteworthy that the only permissions the app seems to have is for Notifications? Like, there's not even an option for File Access permissions.
Pixel 6 Pro, stock Android 14.

Edit: I noticed a little later that there was actually a Notification that popped up, saying it was copying a file. But there was no info about the file, nor a transfer rate. So I force quit, started again, tried the copy again and now it's working yay Heisenbugs?
