docs homepage: index and module index are empty

On the docs homepage, under the subhead "Indices and tables", the Index and Module Index pages are empty and the latter resolves to a broken link.

Would it be acceptable to remove these links or should they in fact be populated? My sense is that populating them would require the use of an extension like https://github.com/boolangery/sphinx-lua
