The original author, @StephenPCG has stated his lack of interest in this project before and his recent inactivity backs this up. There are several commentators here an on extensions.gnome.org, so public interest in this exists. Some GitHub users have contributed compatibility fixes, so I think the community around this extension could keep it alive, if someone would maintain it. Therefore I propose that @StephenPCG hands over the maintainership of this extension to someone else.

The hand over would include:

  • Transfer ownership of this repository to the GitHub account of a new maintainer, to keep all issues and pull requests stars etc. intact
  • Ask at <extensions.gnome.org> to have maintainership of extend-left-box transferred or the extension removed

I am volunteering for the position of maintainer.

I published the fixed version of this extension on extensions.gnome.org. I could do so with upcoming incremental changes using my fork, but would still appreciate to get this repository handed over to me, to avoid confusion.

Hello @Bengt there is a possibility to report issues to your fork? I'm sorry to report here the question, but I didn't find an alternative. Anyway the extension is not compatible with the latest GNOME versions. Can you do an update? Thanks
