event webhook - handle ping events

I would like to use the models in this sdk for defining the sparkpost webhooks. Reading some of the sp blog posts, https://www.sparkpost.com/blog/webhooks-beyond-the-basics/, I know we need to handle ping events to check the liveness of a new webhook. How should we use the models in this lib to filter? Is the expectation that consumers of the sdk check that all fields are null?
