OpenHistoricalMap has its own Overpass API instance but no SPARQL endpoint. Sophox would be a valuable tool for OHM, because most historical mapping is centered around features that are notable enough for Wikidata items.
On the face of it, OHM data is modeled similarly to OSM data. OHM tags are a superset of OSM tags, so OSM Wiki data items remain relevant. OHM triples should use separate ohmt: and ohmm: prefixes to avoid pulling OHM results into existing OSM queries. It would be important to store date subkeys as datetime qualifiers, so that users don’t have to match on a myriad of possible keys.
OHM has its own vector tile infrastructure including a time slider. It would be useful to integrate the time slider into Sophox’s Map view. A Map view with a time slider would nicely complement the existing Timeline view. Wikimedia’s geoshapes service doesn’t support OHM, so the MapRegions view won’t work.
