I'm relatively new to 3D printing in general, so I apologize if this is a simple question. I've been playing with tree settings for a few hours now, and I'm either missing how to do this or this could be a new feature to add to Orca.
I have a 3D model I have constructed, that is more or less a box with hinge tabs on it. There's a lot of support trees due to the general design of it. I thought I'd get clever and try to print two at a time, copying the object and placing it close enough with rotation to see if the same tree base could be used. So far, I have been unsuccessful in getting the trees to merge.
This is a material optimization task and I am certainly getting hung up on a detail here, but it seems like if two trees are close enough for 2 different objects they could easily be merged at the bases.
Can anyone provide any pointers here? I've tried different model orientations but I want to keep my current orientation for reasons. Thanks!
