On my 2023 Moto Razr, (with all permissions granted to the app, and the app exempted from batery optimization limitations) the alarm does not sound if the phone is folded, and the alarm's notification does not wake the external display. If I wake the external display manually after the alarm was supposed to go off there is a silent notification for which I must unfold the phone to see details. The past-due alarm only starts to sound when I unfold my phone (too little too late). The alarm does sound if the phone is unfolded at the time of the alarm, however it is unreasonable to expect users to leave their foldable phones UNfolded when inside their pockets, and this lack of support for folded foldables makes the alarm unusable on such devices. Sadly this had been my favorite clock app before transitioning to a foldable phone.
