All neutral videos from middle perspective seem to have been replaced with Right perspective

Don't know if this is related to issue #1453 ?
It worked fine this morning

@rem0g has been re-uploading all the videos because of #1453.

Nothing has been deployed since last Thursday. Actually, maybe before that. Wednesday? I only deployed to the development servers last week.

@uklomp the example above, it is true, the perspective videos have the same file name as the normal video does. In the database that is so.

Here is a screenshot for the above gloss from the Gloss Video admin. You can see the filenames are wrong.

video-admin-ngt-4000-B-140125

The admin shows a timestamp, but it does not mean the file was actually updated, it may have just been "accessed".

The upload operations were not added to the Gloss Video History, so it looks like they were not successful. (Although objects were created.)

@vanlummelhuizen some help is needed here. The file system is not saving the files.

As seen above "ubuntu" is the owner of the files. Does the API somehow not run as "ubuntu" ?

(I don't know, I'm asking. There are no errors reported about this in the logs.)

The file system is not saving the files.

@susanodd What do you mean by this? Do you have concrete evidence for this?

Note that my knowledge of the API, NME videos and perspective videos is very limited because I was not involved in their development. So, don't expect any miracles from me anytime soon.

From the actual timestamps on the files (see above) they are not new. It did not write any files on 14 January.

The timestamp in the admin is "accessed". (I tried to fix this, but it needs to obtain the time stamp from the stats command, not the python module.)

I know you are not to blame. :)

Myself, I don't understand how the containers work, nor where the files actually are. It just looks like it didn't bother to write the files. Maybe the permission is wrong?

The timestamp in the admin is actually the 'Change' timestamp. That means that the metadata of the file was changed at that time. (A change to the contents is the 'Modify' timestamp.) One of the metadata of a file is it's name and/or location.

I think that somehow the video file for the right perspective is renamed to the same name as the neutral video, deleting the neutral video in the process. I think the same was done to the left perspective video, but because that was done before the right perspective video, we end up with only the right perspective video.

I see that just now (15:28) new videos were uploaded. This seems to solve the particular case of 4000-B. Therefore, I close this issue. The problem can be further discussed in #1453.

This seems to still be a problem.

The still image is correct, but if you hover in the list, you see it's a perspective video.

@vanlummelhuizen Could the signal process still be running?

This seems to still be a problem.

The solution in 9804622 (see #1453) fixes the bug that made videos disappear. It does not re-upload deleted videos. It is up to @rem0g to do so.
