HitCounter's SMW property (__VIEWS) is not updated regularely

The Semantic property that holds the number of page views is incorrect for the most part.
Page views only get updated when Semantic properties would get updated normally, page save (deffered updates) or running SMW's rebuildData

I can see why and how this happens, but im wondering if there is anything that can be done. Is there a way to update this particular property without rebuilding entire SMW data?
Even doing it in a manual way (eg. maintenance script) is fine, as long as update can target this particular (on any one) property
