"vpnkillswitch --protect" causes black screen after login on linux mint #1

"vpnkillswitch --protect" has the same subset of code as "vpnkillswitch --on" does.

"vpnkillswitch --protect" does cause a long 1m 30sec black screen after login.

"vpnkillswitch --on" does not.

Odd. Needs to be investigated.
