Hi all, we are considering releasing 3.12.1., possibly in a week or so. How does this sound? Are there any PRs that needs to be merged? Version release number (3.12.1) sounds good? Feedback welcome. Julien.

Hi @sh-zheng, PR #1049 looks great but I had not had time to fully review. Probably would warrant a 3.13. It would be great to have some folks helping with code review of #1049. I had not had much time yet on my end. Julien.

Sure, it is indeed a PR with large amount of code. More reviews and tests are helpful to guarantee the code quality.

I am kindly asking for help to reproduce #973. Issue appeared after Release 3.12. It would be great, if next release proposes a fix (#1005 - to discuss).
