No sequence in which modifiers should execute

With existing code, modifiers run based on how files get loaded.
Currently, it is not possible to set an order in which they should execute. If one can not modify any field in a (x) modifier then expect to run field specific modifier after x's execution.

It would be good to have some provision where one can decide in which sequence they should run.
