I can't remember the details, but there's a reason we moved aside ctml_writer.py on greg's computer. I think it was being loaded by mistake when he tried to use cantera just as cantera, and didn't want our modified version. We should make sure they don't collide; perhaps rename ours?

Perhaps Greg can play around with cantera and figure out what was wrong.

I looked closer and found some relevant notes from 12/10/09 when you were helping me get the RMG-Visualizer working on my computer. For the Cantera simulation step, I have written "renamed ctml_writer in RMGpy to ctml_writer_mod to avoid file name conflict". So, I concur with your recollection of the issue.

This is no longer used, because we stopped using cantera. Closing this issue (until we start using cantera again - hehe)
