Also maybe a general page on Thunderbird setup for RIT email would help, see #24

did you ever figure out if this is possible? i've tried to do it before with no luck. is there even an API endpoint?

I havent really tried no. I suspect there isnt a REST style API - if anything i bet it will be more of like a CardDAV thing - i suspect is you use outlook it does this by default (untested) so maybe thats a clue?
