i have talked with someone in one of my classes who had trouble setting up a raspberry pi on eduroam.
according to someone from RITLUG discord, Documentation from [ https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspios_full_armhf/images/raspios_full_armhf-2022-09-26/2022-09-22-raspios-bullseye-armhf-full.info ] shows that the iwd config (https://wiki.ritlug.com/eduroam/iwd) is probably the best to point people to.
some software (like pihole) and setup directions (https://scholarslab.lib.virginia.edu/blog/raspberry-pi-uva-eduroam/) will install networkManager. this can also be done but is less ideal for most users who may not be familiar with how any of this works and may just want something that works.
